With a robust background in analytics, strategy, and leadership, Joe Perone brings a unique blend of technical acumen and business insight to drive impactful decision-making and growth. Put simply, his entire career has centered around two things: Numbers and People.
Currently, as a Senior Manager of Commercial Insights & Analytics at Hologic, he leads the formation and execution of his division's analytics vision, harnessing primary research and advanced data techniques to deliver actionable insights that shape marketing, sales, and operational strategies in a $1B+ diagnostics organization. His role involves influencing executive decisions, managing cross-functional projects, and mentoring a team of analysts and data scientists.
Furthermore, Joe has successfully led numerous project teams and advised private sector and nonprofit executives, driving strategic initiatives and business development for diverse clients. Notable clients span the globe, including Forbes-rated hotels, CPG firms, and city governments in the US as well as leading firms in automotive imports, online communities, and data science consultancies abroad.
His entrepreneurial spirit led Joe to found his startup DIO ("Dine-In Only"), where he spearheaded the development of a dynamic pricing platform that supported local restaurants during COVID-19, demonstrating his ability to innovate and adapt in challenging environments.
In his tenure at Samsung Electronics America, he transformed sales operations and negotiated significant contracts, saving over 112 man-hours weekly through automation and improving decision-making with advanced analytics. His experience at Wayfair further honed his skills in managing high-budget marketing strategies and leveraging data to enhance performance across B2B channels.
Perone's career began in education, where he taught mathematics at his own high school, drastically improving student outcomes. This experience instilled in Joe a passion for continuous learning and development, which he carries into his professional endeavors.
Joe holds an MBA and MS in Digital Innovation from Boston University, a Bachelor's in Mathematics from UNC Wilmington, and a recent certificate in Applied Data Science from MIT.
